Privacy policy
Last updated 30/10/2026
How Is AI Changing (howisaichanging.com) is run by Aereum, a sole trader business in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. Questions go to the support address in your account, or reply to any receipt from us.
What we collect
- Your account. When you sign in with Google or Microsoft we receive your email address and first name. We never see your password.
- Your business and tools. The business website you enter, the tools we detect from its public website and DNS records, and the tools you add or remove yourself.
- Your preferences. Alert settings, the progress you mark on suggestions (for example "Already using"), and whether you agreed to product news. We keep a record of each consent choice, with the country it was made from.
- Billing. If you subscribe, Stripe handles payment. We store your Stripe customer and subscription IDs, plan and renewal date. We never receive or store your card details.
- Forms. If you submit a release, partner or waitlist form, we keep your email and what you sent.
- Usage counts. To see what is working we record events such as "check completed" against a one-way scrambled ID, and the country of a check against a scrambled form of the website. These can't be turned back into your email or website.
Cookies and storage
We use one cookie to keep you signed in and a short-lived one during sign-in. Your browser also stores your email and unsaved tool list so you don't have to retype them. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
To run the service: show the AI changes that matter for your tools, save your stack, send alerts you've asked for, manage your subscription and answer you when you contact us. We only send product news if you've agreed, and you can turn it off at any time. We don't sell your information.
Who else handles it
- Cloudflare hosts the site and database and protects it from abuse.
- Stripe processes payments and sends receipts.
- Google and Microsoft handle sign-in when you choose them.
These providers may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We only share what each needs to do its job. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Keeping and deleting it
You can delete your account from your portal. That cancels any subscription and removes your businesses, tools and alert settings straight away. We keep your email address and consent history so we can show what you agreed to and when, and Stripe keeps payment records as tax law requires.
Your choices
You can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you through the support address in your account, or reply to any receipt from us. We'll reply within 30 days. If you're not happy with how we handled a privacy concern, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above, and tell signed-in users about significant changes.
